Draft — under legal review. These are the rules as the product works today, written plainly; a lawyer hasn't been through them yet.

Who can use Glance

  • You have to be 18. We ask for your birthday once and check it.
  • You need an invite from someone already on Glance. Women can invite as many women as they like; men can invite five men every six months.
  • One account per person, tied to the Google, X or Apple identity you signed in with.
  • Glance is for straight people for now. More soon.

Your account and your invites

You're responsible for what happens on your account and for who you invite.

Your account stays linked to your inviter. Serious reports can travel up that link.

Before her first broadcast, a woman verifies with an ID scan and a selfie, checked by a human. Photos on any profile have to show your face and match your ID; a human looks at every one before it's shown.

Paying

Women use Glance free. Always.

Your invite gets you an account. The subscription comes after.

  • Playboy: $9.99 a month or $79 a year (Yearly · save 34%).
  • Romantic: $19.99 a month or $149 a year (Yearly · save 34%).
  • “Until I stop” broadcasts: $2.99, one-time.
  • Insights: $4.99, one-time.
  • A custom verification phrase: $1, one-time.

On iPhone, subscriptions and one-time purchases are billed by Apple through the App Store and managed there. On the web they're billed by card through Stripe and managed from Settings. There is no free trial. A subscription renews until you cancel it; cancelling keeps what you paid for until the end of the current period. Refunds follow the App Store's rules on iPhone; on the web, write to us.

A custom verification phrase you buy is added to the community library, credited to your first name, for other women to use free.

How to behave

  • Say her phrase. Don't approach a woman on Glance without it, and don't approach anyone who isn't broadcasting.
  • A "no" is a no. She can end a broadcast, block you or report you at any time, and so can you.
  • Be who your ID says you are. No one else's photos, no one else's phone.
  • No harassment, threats, stalking, or sharing someone's location, name or chats outside Glance.
  • Don't try to work out where someone is beyond what the app shows you.

Reports are read by a human. Depending on what happened, the outcome is a warning, a suspension, or a ban, and an inviter can be penalised for a person they invited. Bans follow the identity, so a new account with the same sign-in doesn't reset anything.

Meeting in person

Glance tells a man where a woman has chosen to be found, and gives him a phrase to say. What happens after that is between two adults in a public place. We check IDs and we read reports, but we aren't there. Use your judgment, pick busy places, and leave when you want to.

What's yours and what's ours

Your answers, photos and messages are yours. You let us store and show them to the people the app is designed to show them to, and to the humans who review photos and reports. The app, its design and its name are ours.

Ending things

Deleting removes your answers, photos, invites and every chat key. Broadcasts stop immediately. There's no undo, and no "we miss you" email.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If we close Glance itself, we'll give notice in the app.

The usual

Glance is provided as it is, while it's being built. We'll do our best to keep it working and safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, or that anyone you meet is who they say they are beyond the ID check. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for what people do with it.

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before it takes effect.
